At the end of 2017, Mouans-Sartoux presents its food policy, 100% organic canteen and agricultural management to 30 European countries. Representatives of the European Urbact programme discover the city’s food project through field visits and meals 100% organic. The city also presents the need for a food exception in the taxation and regulation of public procurement.

Mouans-Sartoux is part of the European network Urbact. It is the first territorial cooperation program to promote integrated and sustainable urban development in the cities of the Member States of European Union. The goal is to develop solutions to address major urban issues. By networking cities and capitalizing on good practices, Urbact supports public decision-makers and stakeholders on the ground to bring about sustainable solutions that integrate the economic, social and environmental dimensions of urban development. In November 2017, the city received the group's 30th monitoring committee.
